Terms of Service

Your account

Give accurate details when you make an account, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and email support@08studio.app.

Who can use 08 Studio

You must be at least 16 years old to make an account or buy a subscription.

Subscriptions, renewal and refunds

• Price. The price is shown in US dollars on our website and at checkout before you pay. Any taxes we are required to charge are included in that price.
• Renewal. A subscription is monthly or yearly. You are charged when you buy it, then at the start of each new month or year. It renews automatically, at the price then in effect, until you cancel.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
• Refunds. Payments are not refunded, in full or in part, including for the unused part of a month or year, except as these terms say or where the law requires a refund.
• Deleting your account. Deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately. Access ends at once, and the rest of the period you paid for is not refunded.
• Price changes. If the price changes, we will tell you before the new price applies to you, so you can cancel first if you choose.
• Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. If a payment fails, we may pause access to 08 Studio until it succeeds.

AI features

08 Studio includes AI features, such as Ask 08, that suggest and make changes to your tasks and calendar. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Check important changes before you rely on them. You are responsible for the changes you accept.

The AI features are for planning your own work. They don’t give professional advice, including medical, legal or financial advice. How your requests are processed is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Don’t use 08 Studio to:

• break the law, or help anyone else break it;
• store or create content that is unlawful or infringes someone else’s rights;
• try to get into accounts or systems that aren’t yours, or test, probe or overload the service;
• copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the service, or get around its limits or access controls;
• send automated requests to the AI features beyond normal personal use.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first.

Your content

What you put into 08 Studio stays yours. You allow us to store and process it, and to send it to our providers, only as needed to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The service

We improve 08 Studio over time, which can mean changing or removing features. The service is provided “as is”. We don’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Ending

You can stop using 08 Studio and delete your account at any time in Settings → Security. We may end these terms or close the service with reasonable notice. If we close the service, we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits or time. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may also bring a claim in its courts.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using 08 Studio after it takes effect, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
